With over 20 million Euros a year the ‘Innovation Fund II’ supports forward-looking ideas and business models that exceed the core competences of Volkswagen and put mobility, energy and the environment clearly into focus.

mangodesign was tasked by the Volkswagen works council to make the ‘Innovation Fund II’ much better known. With only a small budget an inspiring advertising campaign for the innovation fund was to be developed.

Presentation Material

Besides the classical measurements like trade stand, flyers and clothes, 150 table football tables, that mangodesign had already developed on their own, were printed as promotional items and erected in cafeterias. These were meant to – besides providing sport during break time – inspire colleagues to develop their own innovative business ideas that could then be supported by the ‘Innovation Fund II’. The table football tables were ideal for this purpose according to Wolfram Thomas, the company’s spokesperson for environment, energy and new business segments: “A table football table made from cardboard is environmentally friendly, spares resources and is lighter and easier to handle than its usual predecessors proving: innovative ideas and products are noteworthy and deserve support.”
